Tried and tasted
Daygustation only sell ’real’ wines that taste of the grape and place they come from. We have tasted and selected each wine as we think it is the best, most delicious example of that grape from that place in the world. These are some of our best-selling reds selected for deliciousness and drinkability!
Bernard Baudry Chinon
Delicious, pure and unoaked this Cabernet Franc massively overdelivers in terms of taste for a lowish price. It’s very versatile with food working with red meats, charcuterie and hard cheeses.
Cloitre des Capucins St Emilion
A lovely soft Merlot with classic plum, chocolate and toasted notes from the 12 months spent in oak barrels. Perfect with roast lamb or mature hard cheeses.
Baron de Ley Rioja Reserva
Long ageing in bottle and American oak barrel has produced this smooth, velvety and savoury Rioja with notes of blackcurrent, raisin, vanilla and spice. Perfect with lamb or very mature cheddar.
Perrin Cairanne
Soft, ripe and spicy wine from one of the best Cotes du Rhone villages. Great with grilled red meat or burgers.
Dominique Morel Fleurie
Good Beaujolais like this should be soft, silky and moreishly quaffable. This wine has floral perfume allied to soft red berry fruits. Great with soft cheeses, charcuterie and coq au vin. Unlike most reds this can be served chilled.
