Thoroughly enjoyed a wine and cheese masterclass as a birthday treat. Both great fun and educational. Matt is incredibly knowledgeable and skilfully guided us through the pairings. Highly recommended.
A fantastic local wine shop which also stocks a range of spirits, deli items including cheese and charcuterie as well as wine glasses, cocktail shakers and some cookware. Great for last minute gifts. The guy who owns it is REALLY knowledgable about wines, friendly, and can guide you to the best selection depending on budget.
What a brilliant shop, the owner Matt Day is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. There is a great range of good quality wines at good prices. I will be back here regularly! There is also a lovely seating area outside and the toasted sandwiches that we tried were delicious, not to mention the rose slush puppies!
I thoroughly recommend the cheese and wine evening. We met some nice people and Matt was very informative, not only on the wines but also on the cheeses. There was a good selection of both cheese and wine. A very enjoyable experience.
Great selection of wine with easy drinking bottles under £9 through to some fancier but still excellent value ones. Love the setup out the front too with barrels to lean on whilst enjoying a glass with mates after work. Matt has always been super helpful and welcoming with his recommendations to match what I’m cooking without blowing my budget. Highly recommended
What a find! My wife and I were wandering down the high street and stumbled across this place. Outside, the food and service are excellent, inside is a treasure trove. So many wines to choose from! The owner was really helpful in narrowing the selection down to an easy choice. This is my new destination! Can't wait to go back!
An asset to any high street! Matt sells an amazing range of great wines that suit all budget. Food and service impeccable and I urge anyone who hasn't been to make a visit.
