This small, 7ha, property is owned by Yseult de Gaye Nony. The vineyard is planted to Merlot 80% Cabernet Franc 15% & Cabernet Sauvignon 5%, with an average vine age of 35 years. The 2018 is a relatively powerful wine, but it is well balanced with plenty of freshness. The 2020 Taillefer is forward and luscious. Succulent dark cherry, plum, leather, licorice, tobacco and incense are nicely pushed forward. This mid-weight, supple Pomerol is a total charmer. Best of all, it will drink well with minimal cellaring. 92/100 Wine Advocate
